Grim Muerto

Grim Muerto, developed by Play'n GO, is a video slot that showcases five reels and twenty fixed paylines. Set against the backdrop of the vibrant Mexican Día de Muertos, players are treated to lively mariachi music, colorful skeletons, and festive imagery. In the base game, one reel is randomly marked with each spin; if the Golden Guitar Wild symbol lands on that reel, it expands to occupy the entire reel. This Wild can substitute for all standard symbols, except for the scatters. The Book symbols serve as scatters, and when three appear on reels 1, 3, and 5, players activate the Free Spins feature, which grants ten free spins.

During the Free Spins, players have the chance to earn more spins through Candle symbols: one candle provides three extra spins, while two candles can result in six additional spins. The likelihood of marked reels increases during this feature, with two to five reels being marked, which enhances the chances of expanding Wilds. An additional Wild is introduced in the Free Spins, contributed by one of the mariachi members, further increasing winning potential.

If two Book Scatters show up in the base game, the Second Chance feature is triggered, allowing players to pick a mariachi, behind which a prize or the third scatter may be hidden, leading to Free Spins. Grim Muerto does not include a Bonus Buy option, as bonus features are generally activated through scatters and the Second Chance feature. This game offers a blend of festive excitement, expanding Wilds, free spins, retriggers, and decision-making moments for an engaging gameplay experience.
