The Faces of Freya

The Faces of Freya by Play’n GO is a video slot that features a 5-reel, 3-row layout with 20 fixed paylines, drawing inspiration from Norse mythology and focusing on the various aspects of Freya. In this game, Freya acts as a Wild symbol, substituting for all standard symbols to assist in creating or enhancing winning combinations. Additionally, the Scatter symbol, represented by Freya’s necklace (Brisingamen), plays a crucial role in activating the bonus features.

When three Scatter symbols appear, players trigger one of three distinct “Single Power” free spins rounds: Spins of Sorcery, Spins of Love, or Spins of War. Each of these rounds begins with six free spins, and players can earn extra spins by landing additional Scatters during the gameplay. The Sorcery round allows low premium symbols such as Shield & Axe, Wild Boar, and Large Cats to be upgraded to higher-value symbols. In the Love round, extra Wilds are randomly added to the reels, with two to five appearing per spin, and only one Wild can occupy each reel. The War round features a win multiplier that starts at 2× and can increase up to 20× based on the number of Scatters collected during the free spins.

Landing four or five Scatters in a single spin activates a special round known as Folkvang. This round consists of four levels: Sorcery, Love, War, and a Finale stage. Players engage in five free spins for each of the first three levels, collecting Scatters to unlock upgrades in symbol values, increase the number of Wilds, or enhance the multiplier. The Finale stage offers several spins, ranging from three to four depending on the number of Scatters that triggered the feature, during which all previously earned bonuses are applied together. The Faces of Freya allows for a maximum win of up to 5,000× the bet.
