In the video slot 5 Clans: The Final Battle by Yggdrasil, players encounter a setup of 5 reels and 3 rows, with a total of 10 fixed paylines. To form a winning combination, symbols must appear on consecutive reels, starting from the leftmost side. The game is set in a fantastical world where five clans—fire, ice, dragon, wolf, and lion—compete for dominance against a backdrop of erupting volcanoes. The lower-value symbols consist of card suits like hearts, spades, clubs, and diamonds, while the clan leaders, including Kai McDuff, Eira Frost, Lupa-left eye, Dracomorgan, and Abbas, represent the higher-value symbols.
Unique features are activated by shield symbols in various colors. The red lion shield triggers Super Wilds across a full reel along with respins, while the green wolf shields convert into regular wilds and initiate respins that make new wilds sticky. The purple dragon shields introduce mystery symbols with respins, which can transform into high-value leader symbols, and the blue ice or snowflake shields may provide random multipliers of up to ×50 on wins.
The golden shield of Kai McDuff is exclusive to reel 5 and activates the Free Spins Bonus, granting 9 free spins initially. During these Free Spins, landing additional golden shields on reel 5 can award 3 extra spins, and shield bonuses are more frequent in this mode. Players can also take advantage of the Bonus Buy feature, which allows them to instantly access Free Spins for a predetermined amount without needing to trigger them through regular gameplay.
Wild symbols can substitute for other symbols, excluding bonus or scatter symbols, and the game features both regular and expanding wilds that may cover entire reels. There are also respin mechanisms that lock winning symbols or features while the other reels spin again, as long as the triggering shield remains visible. The game offers the potential for substantial wins through a combination of multipliers, expanding wilds, respins, and free spins, although the frequency of these wins may vary.
You can play it for real money.
