Yggdrasil's Thor's Hammer Time is a video slot that showcases 6 reels and 3 rows, featuring 20 fixed paylines, all rooted in the captivating theme of Norse mythology and the mighty powers of Asgard. This game is known for its high volatility and offers a variety of interconnected bonus features that create opportunities for significant wins. In the base game, players can engage in the Pot Pick bonus, where they select three matching icons from a concealed grid after enough Lightning-prize symbols appear, potentially leading to one of four fixed jackpots.
A random modifier called the Red Lightning Bonus can occur during the base game, where red lightning strikes transform Lightning symbols into wilds, allowing players to collect prizes. The Storm Link feature, which is a hold-and-spin mechanic, activates when at least eight Lightning-prize symbols are present; these symbols become locked, granting respins with the goal of filling the entire grid to win the Mega prize. Additionally, during Storm Link, x2 fireballs may appear, multiplying all prizes in the vicinity and offering the chance for a maximum win of 10,000 times the bet.
To trigger the Free Spins round, players need at least three scatters, which grants eight free spins. During this round, active zones are created, allowing symbols that land within them to lock and potentially lead to bonus re-triggers. Bonus symbols appearing on reel six can also provide extra spins and double the Hammer prize, a unique feature in the free spins. For those looking for a quicker experience, a Feature Buy option is available, enabling players to purchase access to the Storm Link feature or the free spins without waiting for the base game.
The game is visually striking, featuring bright lightning, storm clouds, hammer symbols, and Viking-themed elements that enhance its mythological ambiance. Overall, Thor's Hammer Time offers an exhilarating gaming experience with its blend of randomly generated wilds, engaging bonus games, and powerful multipliers.
