Rival presents Dark Hearts, a video slot featuring a classic 5-reel, 3-row design that offers 243 ways to win. The game’s theme intertwines elements of gothic horror with a romantic narrative, focusing on a cursed love triangle involving vampires Viktor, Marcus, and Willow. Players will encounter symbols such as roses, chalices, crosses, and bitten lips, all set against a dark and moody visual backdrop, complemented by a soundtrack that amplifies the eerie ambiance of this romance-horror tale.
In Dark Hearts, the Wild symbol is depicted as “Love Bite” lips, which can substitute for regular symbols to help form winning combinations, excluding scatters. The Scatter symbol is represented by a lock and key icon, and landing three or more anywhere on the reels activates a feature that allows players to choose free spins.
During the free spins round, players can select one of three vampire characters, each providing a unique mix of spins and multipliers. Viktor offers 30 free spins with a 1× multiplier, Willow provides 15 free spins with a 2× multiplier, and Marcus gives 10 free spins with a 3× multiplier. Bets can be placed starting from 0.30 up to 75.00 per spin, utilizing all 243 ways to win in each round.
The paytable features low-value symbols, including the standard A through 9 cards, while high-value symbols consist of character portraits (Willow, Viktor, Marcus), a chalice, and the game’s logo “DH,” which yields the highest payout when five appear in a winning line. There is no option to buy bonuses; all bonus rounds and multipliers must be activated through normal gameplay by landing scatter symbols.
Dark Hearts does not include additional bonus rounds apart from the free spins and wild mechanics, nor does it feature a pick-and-win game or a separate second screen bonus, aside from the Player’s Choice Chamber for selecting the character for free spins. The game is designed to be fully compatible with mobile devices, ensuring a smooth experience across various platforms.
You can play it for real money.
