Journey to the West

Pragmatic Play presents Journey to the West, a video slot featuring a layout of 5 reels and 3 rows, complemented by 25 fixed paylines. This game draws inspiration from the classic novel, set against a backdrop of Asian mythology. Players will encounter symbols representing four main characters: Wukong, the Monkey King, Xuanzang the monk, Zhu, and Sha, along with lower-value symbols depicting Chinese coins and characters. The game incorporates wild symbols, which can substitute for all regular symbols, and scatter symbols that activate the Free Spins feature when three or more appear. At the start of the free spins, players select from five options, each linked to a specific stacked symbol—either one of the characters or the wild—along with a win multiplier that can go up to 5×. In the base game, all symbols, including characters, can appear stacked on the reels, enhancing the likelihood of landing multiple matching symbols on adjacent reels. The Free Spins round initiates with 5 spins and can be retriggered by landing three or more scatters, granting additional spins with the same selected special symbol and multiplier. Under optimal conditions during the bonus round, the maximum win in Journey to the West can reach 400× the total bet. Bets can range from a minimum of approximately 0.25 to a maximum of 200 units, depending on the jurisdiction, and an autoplay feature is also available.
