Reign of Rome

Reign of Rome, developed by Hacksaw, is a video slot that features a 5×5 grid and 19 fixed paylines, all set against the powerful backdrop of the ancient Roman Empire. The game is rich in dramatic symbols, showcasing elements like helmets, swords, eagles, and various war motifs. Special symbols known as Tribute come in four distinct types: Adding Tribute, Revealing Adding Tribute, Multiplying Tribute, and Revealing Multiplying Tribute. These symbols contribute different values or multipliers that combine to form a LootLine, with their values either summed or multiplied depending on their arrangement.

A notable aspect of Reign of Rome is its cascading mechanic; when winning combinations occur, the symbols vanish, allowing new ones to cascade down from above, which can lead to further wins within the same spin. To initiate bonuses, players need to land Scatter symbols (helmets) during the base game; collecting 3 Scatters triggers the Path to Power round, providing 10 free spins with enhanced opportunities for high-value Tribute. Landing 4 Scatters activates the This Is Rome bonus, which introduces the LootBar. This feature stores Tributes that do not contribute to a win but appear alongside at least one winning Tribute, and once the LootBar is filled, the accumulated value is awarded.

If players land 5 Scatters, the Fight for Glory bonus is activated, also granting 10 free spins, but with the added benefit of each LootBar position starting with a 20× multiplier, and stored Tributes can further boost these values. At the conclusion of this round, a significant prize is awarded based on the total accumulation. During all free spin rounds, players can collect additional Scatters for extra spins: collecting 2 Scatters grants +2 spins, while 3 Scatters yield +4.

Moreover, players have the option to purchase bonuses directly through Feature Buy where allowed. Various purchase options or FeatureSpins are available, including BonusHunt (3× the bet) to enhance the chances of activating a bonus, as well as Shield Wall! and Spears Out! (50×) to secure Tribute or Revealing Tribute, along with direct purchases of the Path to Power or This Is Rome bonuses for significantly higher stakes.

Importantly, Reign of Rome does not include a wild symbol, instead concentrating on Tributes and LootLines to boost winnings. The combination of cascading effects, progressive bonus mechanics, the LootBar, and high-multiplier Tributes turns each spin into a chance for considerable rewards.
