Life and Death

Life and Death, created by Hacksaw, is a video slot that consists of 6 reels and 5 rows, featuring 19 fixed paylines. The game is set against a dark fantasy backdrop, drawing inspiration from the Four Horsemen of the Apocalypse: Pestilence, War, Famine, and Death, each represented by distinct colors on the reels. These Horsemen act as Wild Multiplier symbols, each offering varying multipliers, with the highest reaching as much as 200×. Wilds are restricted to the middle reels, specifically reels 2 to 5, and can expand into a Wild reel when they land on their corresponding colored reel as part of a winning combination.

There are two bonus rounds in the game: Devastation and Reckoning Free Spins. To activate Devastation, players must land 3 scatter symbols, which awards 10 free spins and increases the chances of Wild Multipliers appearing. Reckoning, on the other hand, requires 4 scatters to trigger, also granting 10 free spins, and introduces “Death Reels.” When a Wild Multiplier appears on its designated reel, that reel becomes active, allowing all future Wilds from that Horseman to expand, regardless of their position on the middle four reels. Additional free spins can be earned during both bonus rounds if 2 or 3 scatters appear.

In certain regions, players have access to a Feature Buy option, allowing them to directly purchase either Devastation or Reckoning, or to buy spins that ensure Wild Multipliers or improve the chances of activating bonus rounds. Life and Death offers a maximum win potential of up to 15,000× the bet, and its gameplay is marked by high volatility, with substantial payouts resulting from the combination of expanding Wild Reels and simultaneous Wild Multipliers.
