Hammerstorm

Pragmatic Play presents Hammerstorm, a video slot inspired by Norse mythology, featuring elements like Thor’s hammer, lightning, and Viking imagery against a backdrop of rocky fjords and longships. The game is structured on a 5-reel, 3-row layout with 40 fixed paylines, showcasing typical Viking symbols such as helmets, shields, axes, gauntlets, and low-value royal icons. The Wild symbol, represented by Thor’s hammer, can substitute for standard paying symbols to assist in forming winning combinations.

The excitement escalates with the Respins feature, activated by gathering Red, Green, or Purple Lightning symbols in the base game, which are collected in chests marked Double, Expand, or Spins, or by landing the Thor symbol on the first reel alongside at least one Lightning symbol elsewhere. When Respins commence, the gameplay transitions to a 5×5 grid populated solely by Coin or Lightning Money symbols, along with blanks, while a 2×2 moving "collection zone" shifts randomly with each respin to accumulate prizes.

As players gather Lightning Money symbols during Respins, a meter fills up. Reaching specific thresholds, such as 5, 4, or 3 Lightning symbols, enlarges the collection zone to sizes of 3×3, 4×4, or 5×5 and grants additional respins. Gold versions of Coin and Lightning symbols, which pay double their value, can only appear when the Double modifier is active. The Expand modifier has the potential to enlarge the grid up to 7×6, enhancing the chances for rewards. The Spins modifier allows Lightning symbols to carry “+1 Spin” icons, providing extra respins when collected.

Hammerstorm includes Ante Bet options that enable players to increase their wager per spin to enhance the likelihood of triggering the Respins feature. One Ante Bet ensures a Thor symbol appears on reel one, while another guarantees a minimum number of Lightning symbols with each spin. The game’s maximum win can reach up to 10,000 times the bet, and the combination of modifiers, expanding grids, and the dynamic collection zone makes the bonus round particularly appealing.
