Barrels of Riches

Platipus presents Barrels of Riches, a video slot featuring 5 reels and 25 fixed paylines, all set against a backdrop of a pirate adventure filled with treasures. Guarding three paths to wealth are weathered barrels, each playing a crucial role in the gameplay. Positioned above the reels are three distinct barrels—Blue, Red, and Green—where special Collect symbols contribute to meters that unlock various features. When a Reveal symbol appears, it can transform into a Collect symbol, subsequently charging its corresponding barrel. The Blue barrel is responsible for accumulating Free Spins, which can reach a cap of around 100 and are triggered by a Collect symbol. The Red barrel initiates a Free Spins round consisting of 7 spins and activates Jackpot symbols that can fill different tiers, including Mini, Minor, Maxi, Major, and Grand. Meanwhile, the Green barrel enhances an Extra Wild multiplier, which can go up to a maximum, typically ×10, and during its Free Spins path, an Extra Wild may show up on the third reel to increase wins. The pirate captain symbolizes the Wilds, substituting for regular symbols to create winning combinations. After the Free Spins round, the jackpot meters associated with the Red barrel reset, while the Green barrel’s multiplier resets after its feature. The game’s visuals and sound design effectively capture the essence of the pirate theme, featuring treasure maps, compasses, rustic wood textures, and a seafaring soundtrack.
