Sails of Fortune

Sails of Fortune by Relaxgaming is a pirate-themed video slot played on a 5-reel base grid that can expand up to a 5×5 layout in the bonus feature, increasing win ways from the standard 243 up to 7,776. It uses Mystery Map symbols that land during the base game and instantly trigger Respins; all Mystery Maps shift one reel to the left on each Respin, remain locked in place, and eventually fall off the grid. These Mystery Maps convert into the same symbol type for the purpose of creating wins during their time on the reels. The main bonus round is called Treasure Hunt Free Spins, activated by landing three Scatter (key) symbols; players start with eight free spins, with each extra Scatter adding one more spin. In that Free Spins mode, Mystery Maps also expand to fill their entire reel, boosting the potential size of symbol clusters. On the fifth reel during Free Spins, special Treasure Chest coin symbols can land and be collected; every three chests collected upgrade the expansion of Mystery Maps by one row and award an additional free spin. The game also offers a Bonus Buy feature in jurisdictions where permitted, allowing players to pay a fixed multiple of their stake to jump directly into the free spins round. The theme is richly detailed, with pirate imagery throughout, set on a wooden ship deck and backed by nautical music and atmospheric visuals.
