Gold Trio: Zones™

Gold Trio: Zones™, developed by Playtech, is a video slot that features a grid consisting of 5 reels and 3 rows, along with 30 fixed paylines. Set against a lively Mexican carnival backdrop, the game is filled with vibrant colors, mariachi peppers, and rhythmic Latin music, creating an immersive experience for players. In the base game, players can find “Wild” symbols that can replace all standard symbols, except for the special “Coloured Coins,” which are crucial for activating the Gold Trio Respins feature.

These Coloured Coins are categorized into three types: Green, Red, and Orange. When they appear in the base game, they fill specific tanks or “pots” located above the reels, leading to potential advantages when the feature is triggered. The Gold Trio Respins feature activates randomly as these tanks fill with Coloured Coins and begins with three respins. Each time a new coin is locked in, the respin counter resets to three.

During the Gold Trio Respins, the grid is divided into zones that contain multipliers of 2×, 3×, 4×, or 5×. If a zone is completely filled with coins, the corresponding multiplier is applied to all coins within that zone. Cash Prize Coins offer instant values, while Mystery Prize Coins reveal a mystery title of “Mild,” “Medium,” or “Hot.” If the grid fills entirely with coins, players are awarded the Xtra Hot prize.

An Extra Bet mode is also available, increasing the bet by a percentage and improving the chances of triggering the Gold Trio Respins while keeping the payout structure intact. Additionally, players can utilize a Buy Feature to directly access the Respins feature, with the option to choose which tanks will be active by paying a multiple of the base bet. Gold Trio: Zones™ does not feature free spins rounds or a progressive jackpot; instead, it offers fixed jackpots through its game features. The combination of multipliers, selected tanks, and Respins allows for strategic gameplay and engagement.
