Hot Gems™

Hot Gems™ by Playtech is a video slot with five reels and three rows, featuring 25 fixed paylines and set in a mining theme. In this game, colorful gemstones, lanterns, pickaxes, and a miner appear alongside more common jewels. The Wild symbol appears on the second, third, and fourth reels, replacing regular paying symbols, while the Hot Gems™ logo acts as a Scatter that can pay anywhere on the reels. To activate a bonus round of 15 free spins, a separate Free Games symbol must land simultaneously on the first, third, and fifth reels. During these free spins, a collapsing reels (or cascading symbols) mechanic is active: winning symbols explode and are removed, allowing new symbols to fall down and potentially create further wins. In addition to the collapsing reels, there is an increasing multiplier in the Free Spins feature, starting at 1× and increasing by one with each collapse, up to a maximum of 5×. Once the Free Spins feature begins, it cannot be reactivated. The miner, lantern, cart, pickaxe, and gemstones each have different values in the payout table, with the miner (prospector) offering the highest possible win for combining five of his kind. The overall appearance is cartoonish, bright, and colorful, with sound effects and animations linked to the collapses and bonuses for that classic gemstone mining feel.
