3 Hot Chillies

Booongo's 3 Hot Chillies is a video slot that features a layout of 5 reels and 3 rows, along with 25 fixed paylines. The game is set against the backdrop of a vibrant Mexican fiesta, showcasing symbols like maracas, guitars, cacti, sombreros, and lively dancing characters, all complemented by colorful decorations and upbeat music. A Wild symbol, depicted as a man wearing a sombrero, can substitute for regular symbols to create winning combinations, but it does not replace the Bonus (Chilli) symbols. The main attraction of the game is the Hold and Win bonus round, which activates when a sufficient number of Chilli Bonus symbols appear in the base game, filling the corresponding ristra meters.

When the Hold and Win bonus is triggered, the Chilli Bonus symbols that initiated the feature become sticky, and players begin with three respins. Each time a new Chilli symbol lands during this round, the respin count resets to three. This bonus includes various modifiers based on the colors of the chillies: green chillies provide multipliers (such as 2×, 3×, or 5×), yellow chillies extend the respin count, and red chillies initiate a Double Reels mode that mirrors collected coins on a second field. Additionally, the feature offers fixed jackpots—Mini, Minor, Major—and a Grand Jackpot if all 15 positions on the bonus grid are filled. In some versions, players can also take advantage of a Bonus Buy option, allowing them to purchase direct access to the Hold and Win round.
